Maria Mattar is a Lebanese soprano who was born and raised in Beirut, and has been performing professionally since 1995. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musicology and Opera from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), where she graduated with honors. She has attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Montserrat Caballe, Alain Zuercher and Raphaël Sikorski.

Maria Mattar is not only a talented opera singer, but also a passionate music educator and coach. She has been teaching piano and singing to students of all ages and levels since 1995. She is also a jury member for the Chanson Francophone competition organized by the French Embassy in Beirut.

In 2022, she was honored with two prestigious distinctions: the Honour Prize by Amadeus International and the Honorary Mention by Medici. Among her recent professional accomplishments are a series of Opera Gala concerts held not only in Lebanon at the American University of Beirut and Holy Spirit USEK University but also in Paris, France.

Maria Mattar is a soprano with a heart of gold and a voice of silver. She is an inspiration for many young singers and musicians who aspire to follow their dreams and passions. She is a proud representative of her country and culture.
